Ahead of his next outing at Cage Warriors 169 in London, flyweight contender Lone’er Kavanagh has conducted some crucial contractual business to secure his fighting future with MMA’s premier launchpad to the world stage.
Cage Warriors officials confirmed Friday that Kavanagh had signed a new multi-fight deal with the promotion.
Kavanagh is 5-0 as a pro, with his last three wins coming under the Cage Warriors banner. Those victories, over Ryan Morgan, Ander Sanchez, and a spinning heel kick finish of Davide Scarano, highlighted Kavanagh as one of Cage Warriors’ most exciting rising stars, and a bout with fellow crowd pleaser Shawn Da Silva was booked for last July in London.

During his time away from the cage, Kavanagh explored his free agency options before deciding to commit his immediate fighting future to Cage Warriors. Now he’s set to face Da Silva in their rebooked clash on March 30 at the Indigo at The O2.
“As one of the top, undefeated prospects in European MMA, it’s no surprise that Lone’er Kavanagh had a lot of offers on the table,” said Cage Warriors president Graham Boylan.
“That he’s chosen Cage Warriors as the place to develop his career in the coming years speaks volumes.
“He’s got a great team and a huge fanbase behind him, and that’s only going to increase as he competes on one of the biggest platforms in the sport.”
