The BEC Arena in Manchester played host to a bout some have described as the best fight in Cage Warriors history, as rising English featherweight Luke Riley took on Swedish 145er Alexander Loof at Cage Warriors 160.

The bout saw two undefeated prospects to toe to toe in a back-and-forth war that eventually ended in the opening minute of the final round with Riley stopping Loof against the fence with a barrage of strikes to claim his eighth career win.

The all-action matchup received plaudits from the fans in attendance, as well as those who watched the fight on UFC Fight Pass. The bout also took Cage Warriors’ Fight of the Year honours in their end-of-your awards, with Riley claiming the promotion’s Fighter of the Year award. No surprise for a man whose win over Kallum Parker was named in second place in the Fight of the Year honours.
