Reigning Oktagon middleweight champion Patrik Kincl is going nowhere, and he doesn’t plan on letting go of his championship belt, either.
The Czech star has never lost inside the Oktagon cage, with wins against Samuel Kristofic, Alex Lohore, Karlos Vemola and Piotr Wawrzyniak, and has held the promotion’s middleweight title since 2022. Most recently, he defeated interim champion Wawrzyniak at Oktagon 54 to re-unify the 185-pound title.

And now, Oktagon officials have confirmed that “The Inspector” has signed a new multi-fight contract with the promotion, and will put his title on the line against top contender Matej Penaz on June 8 at Oktagon 58 at Eden Stadium in Prague.
Penaz enters the title fight with a 9-1 record, with his only defeat coming against Sedriques Dumas in a strangely off-form performance on Dana White’s Contender Series. After that loss, Penaz returned to Oktagon and reeled off three successive wins, all by TKO.
He stopped Joel dos Santos and Ole Magnor with first-round finishes, then finished former Cage Warriors champion Matt Bonner with a vicious second-round body shot at Oktagon 52 to put himself at the front of the queue for a shot at the middleweight title.
Now, following the news of Kincl’s new contract, Penaz gets his shot, and will face the champion in an all-Czech title clash on June 8.
