UFC Vegas 91: Nicolau and Perez on weight for flyweight showcase

The two flyweight contenders at the top of the fight card successfully made weight ahead of their headline matchup at UFC Vegas 91.

The weigh-in session at the UFC Apex saw 24 of the 26 fighters hit their contracted weights ahead of fight night in Las Vegas, with main eventers Matheus Nicolou and Alex Perez both making weight with no issues on the scale.

Nicolau arrived on the scale at 125.5 pounds, while Perez stepped up and registered a weight of 126 pounds to make their five-round non-title fight official.

The co-main event features Ryan Spann and Bogdan Guskov, and both men came in with weight to spare, with Spann tipping the scale at 205.5 pounds, and Guskov a pound lighter, at 204.5.

The rest of the fight card make weight, bar two fighters. Featherweight David Onama missed weight by 2.5 pounds after he could only get down as far as 148.5 pounds for his main card matchup with Jonathan Pearce.

And on the preliminary card, lightweight James Llontop agonisingly missed out on the scale by just half a pound, as he registered an official weight of 156.5 pounds for his matchup with Chris Padilla.

Both Onama and Llontop forfeited 20 percent of their purses to their respective opponents, but both matchups will continue, as scheduled.
