All 26 fighters were cleared and confirmed for action at UFC Vegas 88 at the UFC Apex, but Friday’s weigh-in session didn’t pass off without incident.
There were no issues at the top of the card, as heavyweights Tai Tuivasa and Marcin Tybura both arrived on weight and ready for their headline matchup. Australia’s Tuivasa tipped the scale as the heaviest fighter on the card, coming in at 265.5 pounds, while Poland’s Tybura registered an official weight of 247 pounds.
The rest of the main card all hit their contracted marks on the scale, but there were three weight misses among the preliminary card fighters.
Natan Levy arrived half a pound over the 156-pound non-title limit for his lightweight bout with Mike Davis, while women’s bantamweight Chelsea Chandler came in one pound over her designated limit, at 137 pounds.
The third fighter to miss weight was featherweight Danny Silva, who tipped the scale 2.5 pounds over the limit, at 148.5 pounds, for his bout with Josh Culibao.
All three fighters were cleared to fight, but will forfeit 20 percent of their fight purse to their respective opponents.
