Heavyweights top the bill at the UFC Apex.

A rising heavyweight prospect faces off against a seasoned contender in the main event of UFC Vegas 87 and, as you’d expect from a heavyweight headliner, the two combatants had no problem making weight.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik will face off against Shamil Gaziev, with both men tipping the scale towards the upper limit of the UFC heavyweight division.

Rozenstruik weighed in at 257 pounds, while Gaziev tipped the scale at 261 ahead of their crunch match at the UFC Apex.

The weigh-ins took place in Las Vegas on Friday, with the results sheet showing no weight misses, as all 20 fighters successfully hit their respective marks to ensure the fight card remained intact, with no fines or catchweight rearrangements needed.

The co-main event will see undefeated Brazilian Vitor Petrino face off against Australian finisher Tyson Pedro, while flyweight contenders collide as former title challenger Alex Perez faces surging contender Muhammad Mohkaev.

Also on the main card, Umar Nurmagomedov will look to strengthen his championship credentials when he faces Kazakhstan’s Bekzat Almakhan, while flyweights Matt Schnell and Steve Erceg kick off the main card.
