Hot on the heels of the roster announcements for PFL Europe’s 2024 lightweight and welterweight seasons, the promotion has released the regular season matchups to kick off the 155-pound and 170-pound tournaments.
The season will operate under a single elimination tournament format, with eight contenders placed in a bracket to determine each fighter’s potential route to championship gold.
The left side of the lightweight bracket will see France’s Yazid Chouchane take on Spain’s Ignacio Capella, while England’s Connor Hughes returns for a second season to take on Germany’s Anatolij Baal. The winners of the two bouts will then meet in the playoffs to determine who will progress to the season finale, and the $100,000 championship bout.
The right side of the draw pits 2023 lightweight champion, Poland’s Jakub Kaszuba, against England’s former Bellator veteran, Kane Mousah. The final regular season bout wil see Austria’s Alex Chizov take on Italy’s Daniele Scatizzi. The winners from those two bouts will then face off to decide the second lightweight finalist.

The welterweight bracket has also been set, with France’s Ibrahim Mane taking on Chequina Noso Pedro and Yassin Najid facing Daniele Miceli on the left side of the draw, while Marian Dimitrov vs. Erhan Kartal and Tomasz Langowski vs. Florim Zendeli form the right side of the bracket.
The season kicks off in Paris, France, on Thursday, March 7, with the event headlined by French combat sports superstar Cedric Doumbe, who faces Baysangur Chamsoudinov, while “The Lazy King” Abdoul Abdouraguimov takes on England’s Jack Grant in the co-main event.
