Two more divisions of the PFL’s 2024 season get underway in Las Vegas on Friday night, with PFL 2 featuring the lightweight and light heavyweight divisions in Sin City.
The Theater at Virgin Hotels in Las Vegas will play host to the event, with returning 2023 light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay topping the fight card as he looks to kick off his 2024 campaign with a victory.
Kasanganay will take on former Bellator contender Alex Polizzi in the headline bout, with the co-main event seeing 2022 champion Rob Wilkinson return to action against English contender, Tom Breese.
With 2023 lightweight champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier now retired, there is no defending champion at 155 pounds this season, but last year’s runner-up Clay Collard is back to go one better in 2024. He’ll face off against former Bellator lightweight champion Patricky Pitbull in his opening regular season bout. Also set for action at lightweight is Denmark’s Mads Burnell, with the former Bellator featherweight contender moving up a division to make a run at the PFL’s lightweight championship. He’ll face Michael Dufort on Friday night.
Another notable name set for action is former PFL welterweight champion Sadibou Sy, who has moved up TWO weight classes to join the light heavyweight season for 2024. The rangy Swedish striker had outgrown the 170-pound class and, with no middleweight season in the PFL this year, “The Swedish Denzel” has jumped two divisions to compate at 205 pounds. Welcoming him to the light heavyweight division is last year’s runner up, Josh Silveira.
All of the contenders set for action in Las Vegas took to the scale at the official weigh-ins, then faced off for the final time at the ceremonial weigh-ins, with every single fighter making weight for their matchup. Check the full list of official weights below.
