Both fighters called for the matchup, and now Brave Combat Federation officials have officially confirmed the fight. Nkosi Ndebele vs. Jose Torres III is locked and loaded for Saturday, May 11.

The bout will headline Brave CF 82 in Mauritius, with the pair facing off in the promotion’s first-ever trilogy fight. The bout also makes international history as the first major MMA trilogy to see each fight taking place in a different continent.

Ndebele and Torres first faced of at Brave CF 73 in Bogota, Colombia, with the vacant bantamweight championship on the line. After a super-close matchup, Torres’ hand was raised after the judges returned a split-decision verdict.

Such was the razor-thin nature of the first fight, a rematch was quickly booked, with the pair facing off for the second time at Brave CF 80 in Bahrain, with South Africa’s Ndebele determined to turn the tables on his American rival.

“The Future” did just that, as he forced a battered and bloodied Torres to pull himself out of the fight in the third round. It meant that Ndebele captured the bantamweight title, and set the running score between the pair at one win apiece.

A trilogy fight was inevitable and, after both men called for the matchup, the third matchup between the pair was officially set for Brave CF 82 in Mauritius. The location of the matchup means the duo will have competed in Brave CF championship action across three continents: South America, Asia, and Africa.

It’s also an opportunity for Ndebele to compete on his home continent for the third time under the Brave CF banner, with two of his early Brave CF appearances taking place in his native South Africa at Brave CF 19 and Brave CF 31.
