Harry Hardwick and Orlando Wilson Prins both made championship weight ahead of their battle for the vacant featherweight title at Cage Warriors 172 in Newcastle.
Hardwick arrived on the scale with weight to spare, coming in at 144.8 pounds, while Prins hit championship weight on the nose, registering an official weight of 145 pounds.
The co-main event features a lightweight battle between England’s James Power and Poland’s Daniel Kolasinski, and both men came in under the 156-pound non-title limit for their matchup.
There was no leeway necessary for the featured women’s bantamweight bout, as Kennedy Freeman (133.9) and Gisele Libanio (133.6) both arrived on scale comfortably under the limit, and the rest of the main card all hit their contracted marks.
Six main card bouts were also rubber-stamped, but three matchups were scratched from the lineup on medical grounds.
Prince McLean was taken ill while en route to the weigh-ins, meaning his light heavyweight bout with Italy’s Francesco Mazzeo has been removed from the card.
Also, featherweights Bailey Gilbert and Nick Beukema were not medically cleared to compete, meaning their respective bouts against Marko Sarasjarvi and Nik Bagley have also been cancelled.
It means the lineup has been trimmed to 12 bouts at the Vertu Motors Arena, with the show streaming live internationally on UFC Fight Pass.
