Cage Warriors 167: Contenders make weight in Manchester

This weekend Cage Warriors is bringing a double-header of fight night action from Manchester, England, and the official weigh-ins have taken place ahead of the first show, Cage Warriors 167: Unplugged.

The top of the fight card features a quartet of welterweights looking to stake their claim for a title shot, and all four fighters made weight without issue for their respective matchups.

Returning former welterweight champion Stefano Paterno of Italy is ready for action in the night’s headline against debuting American Scottie Stockman, with Paterno tipping the scale at 170.2 pounds compared to Stockman’s 169.8.

Welterweights also feature in the co-main, as Team Renegade’s Omeil Brown looks to put himself back in line for a shot at the belt when he faces Israel’s Rafael Aronov. Brown arrived on the scale at 170.4 pounds, while Aronov was significantly lighter, coming in at just 169.1.

The four fighters at the top of the card set the tone for the rest of the card, with all 24 fighters set for action at the stripped-down BEC Arena on Friday night making weight successfully for their respective matchups.

Other names to keep an eye on are English flyweight Connor Wilson, who takes on Italy’s Davide Scarano, and former champion Michele Martignoni, who returns to action against Raz Bring as he bids to recapture the bantamweight title he never lost inside the cage.

The prelims will feature English lightweight and former amateur standout Teddy Stringer, while former WWE star Jack Claffey also returns to action. The card will also feature the second pro bout of English featherweight prospect Leon Armes, who will be looking to claim the second win of his career after an impressive guillotine choke finish on his pro debut last November.

Cage Warriors 167 is live worldwide on UFC Fight Pass, with the prelims kicking off at 11:30am PT/2:30pm ET/6:30pm GMT/7:30pm CET, and the main card getting underway at 2:00pm PT/5:00pm ET/9:00pm GMT/10:00pm CET.
